About Jeanie
Jeanie Belle Jacobsen (葉海藍) is a mystical artist from Hong Kong's vibrant coast. Her fluid abstract paintings emerge from lucid meditative trances, inspiring catharsis, introspection, self-actualization, and mind-body-spirit harmony. Featured in the Hong Kong Museum of Art (HKMoA) gift store, she is also an official fifth-generation successor to painting master Qi Baishi (齊白石第五代傳人).
Jeanie began taking art classes at four years old, won first place in a Hong Kong-wide children’s drawing competition at six, and attended various fine art programs with Swiss Art Studio, Savannah College of Art and Design, and the Florence University of Arts. She later earned perfect marks in her IB Higher Level Visual Arts course with a high school art scholarship.
During her teenage years, Jeanie encountered inexplicable synchronicities, past-life visions, vivid and lucid dreams—igniting a profound curiosity about the metaphysical and spiritual. This drew her to existential questions of life after death, identity, purpose, good versus evil, cosmology, and transcendence, leading her to pause her lifelong passion for art and pursue a philosophy degree at University College London.
In 2020, amid depression and loneliness, Jeanie experienced a meditative awakening. In a pitch-black room, an overwhelmingly bright light appeared behind her eyelids—also witnessed by her brother meditating beside her—a soothing warmth enveloped her heart, and a clear vision of an angelic embrace surrounded her back. This moving mystical experience ignited her commitment to the path of initiation and nurturing her bond with the Divine.
After completing her university degree, Jeanie returned to art with a renewed approach—treating her creative practice as an intuitively led, feeling-driven process. Art became her way to deepen her connection with Spirit. She now channels that same spark of transcendental light and warmth from the dark room into her work, offering reminders of hope and the loving, mystical forces surrounding us. Each painting is a prayer for humanity to overcome inner and outer darkness, guiding us toward greater healing, harmony, and wholeness.
