About Jeanie

Jeanie Belle Jacobsen (葉海藍) is a spiritually inspired abstract artist from the vibrant coastal city of Hong Kong. Her paintings are deeply mystical, luminous, and fluid, guided by intuitive nudges of the heart. She strives to create art that evokes deep feelings and introspection in her audience, ultimately helping to bring harmony to the mind, body, and soul.
At the age of six, Jeanie discovered her artistic talent when she unexpectedly won first place in a Hong Kong-wide children’s drawing competition with her intuitive artwork. Years later, she graduated from high school at the top of her visual arts class, earning an arts scholarship.
During her teenage years, Jeanie began experiencing inexplicable synchronicities and mystical phenomena, which sparked deep interest in the metaphysical and transcendent. From 2018 to 2021, she pursued philosophy at University College London.
In 2020, amidst a period of depression and loneliness, Jeanie underwent a spiritual awakening during meditation in a pitch-black room. She felt an overwhelming light, akin to the warmth of the sun, enveloping her heart, accompanied by an angelic embrace encircling her back. This transformative experience ignited her commitment to fostering mental, physiological, and spiritual health through daily communion with the divine.
Jeanie serendipitously found her way back to the arts with a renewed approach to her creative practice, using it as a way to deepen her connection with her intuition and inner divine. Through her heart-led painting process, she channels transcendental light and warmth into her art. She aspires to instill in her audience a sense of hope, persistence, and courage to overcome the darkness within and outside themselves. Her paintings carry prayers for humanity to find greater healing, harmony, and wholeness, inspiring us to emerge from our collective trials spiritually transformed and empowered.
